Stikkan® was invented
Stikkan’s story began in 1982 when an engineer in Telemark, Norway, wanted to make splitting wood easier and safer after his wife complained about the difficulty of starting a fire. That’s how the log splitter was born.
The 2000s
Stikkan moves to Sweden
During a hiking trip in Norway with his wife, Claes Österlin was offered to buy the company. He accepted and moved production to Forshaga in Värmland.
2013
Flamman was invented
The innovation Flamman was created by our former owner Claes Österlin. This fireplace tool is a smart, space-saving update to the traditional shovel and brush set and has become popular in both Europe and North America. When one of our distributors requested a better bellows, we consulted an airflow expert to optimize performance – all to give you the best possible experience at your fireplace.
2024
Malin becomes the new owner
Malin Lindgren and her family take over the company, and she assumes the role of CEO.
2025
Fluffen and Långstikkan launches
We want to make fire-starting easier and more enjoyable. Fluffen is our soft sheepskin handle that provides extra grip and warmth, while Långstikkan is a long, reliable match that works in any weather – perfect for the fireplace, grill, or campfire.
